System Requirements for MathXL

Specific system requirements may vary depending on your course. Most MathXL courses require a Windows� operating system and a supported version of Microsoft� Internet Explorer. However, courses for calculus and statistics also run on certain Macintosh� operating systems with supported versions of Netscape�.

All MathXL courses require the following:

• Internet connection: 56K modem minimum; Cable/DSL, T1, or other high-speed recommended for courses with multimedia
• Memory: 64 MB RAM minimum
• Monitor resolution: 800 x 600 or higher

Note: AOL� Users cannot access MathXL using the America Online� browser. However, you can log in to AOL, minimize the AOL browser, and then launch Internet Explorer (or any supported browser) separately to access MathXL.

Use the MathXL Installation Wizard to view the specific system requirements for your course and to install plug-ins and players that are necessary to access the content in your course. (If you have already created a course in MathXL, you can access the wizard directly from your course.)
